I'm confused. I read online that vertically splitting a window was available as of 4.00.03, which is what my screen version claims to be, yet when I type ctrl-a | (which means hold down ctrl and a, then release and press shift and \ simultaneously), nothing happens. I also tried ctrl-A |, but no dice. What am I doing wrong?
