Chris:
I have printed on non textile substrates. Yes you can screenprint on the
plastic used for name
badges. However, you have to use special inks other then textile inks. Find out
from the supplier
for the name badge material what plastic it is. If they do not sell inks to
print on it, check with
you distributor that you are currently buying other textile inks from and see
if they have what you
need. I know that Nazdar sells inks for various plastic materials. You will
need to tell them the
kind of plastic so they can get you the correct ink. When using these inks you
will need to add a
retarder to them to keep from having them dry to quickly in the screens. Your
distributor can tell
you more about all of this. You will also need to use some fine mesh screens
like 220 or above. The
real problem with screenprinting name badges is doing each individual name.
Some times if you get a
large sheet of plastic you can print all the names at one time and cut them
apart after they dry.
Hope this helps. If you need a phone number for a distributer e-mail me and I
will try to get that
for you. Let me know where you are located so I can help you find a distributor
close to your area.
Good printing.

needs namebadges and I would like to learn how to screenprint the plastic.
What is involved and required?
