The Latest from The Screwdriver List!

Mukluk -- and the others who've joined us in the last two months or so --
welcome to The Screwdriver List! A very happy Independence Day holiday to
everyone on the List, too.

I'm betting the Tbird has been the most successful CPU for AMD since the K6.
I know the machines I've built with it so far have rocked. I agree about
the BIOS, too; the Giga that I'm running right now supports both dual BIOS
boot and an automated Internet BIOS update program, both of which make one
feel quite a bit safer when upgrading!

Hi all,

greetings to all you fellow PC home builders. I have just finished building
my 2nd PC in so many years. This time I chose to use an Athlon CPU, which
required an Asus mother board, and I decided to give the A7V133 Socket A, a
go.

So far everything seems to be working Ok. I just upgraded the 4in1 drivers
to the version 4in1432v next in line is a BIOS upgrade to v 1005A, a
different BIOS setup procedure then the on I'm used to. So I will have to be
extra careful.

I'm running Windows ME as OS.

Have fun, Mukluk
