Grab your Phillips, it's... The Latest from The Screwdriver List!
Has anyone on the List used the 3DMark2001 video card benchmark program from MadOnion.com? I thought I would let everyone know that the latest version of this excellent benchmark -- the Second Edition -- has just been released! The standard version is free to download and use, and if you're at all interested in the raw power of your PC's video card it's not to be missed. The benchmark is actually a kick to watch, too: you get to see several incredible clips from simulated games (I wish all of them were on the shelf to actually play), along with what must be the most realistic 3D nature scene ever rendered)! After your card's 3DMark value has been calculated, you can even go online to their Web site and compare it with other cards from PC's using the same processor. If you're running an advanced Radeon or GeForce 2/3 card, I highly recommend you try this program. Anyway, I've just upgraded my games machine to a GeForce 3 Ti 200, and I wanted to see what other List members have received on their cards... mine tops out at 4969 (with 384MB of RAM and a 1.0G Athlon T-bird). What did you get? (Grin) The Chief ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ That's all for now from The Screwdriver List "Red Stripe to Pin 1" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
