imposition is a much-needed feature. alongwith ability to manage inks,
to map spot inks as spot-inks or as halftoned (CMYK) colors. to save production costs or when a special ink is not available. again, this leads us to another issue with imposition: shingling. and then again, with ability to import other files, like ads from ad agencies, to impose into a print sheet. so bottomline: let's aim to have scribus produce a top-class production-intensive magazine at a professional level. so many more issues, like handling gate-folds, special inserts, continued on... [pg number], specially numbered sections, ad-inserts, table-of-contents, special inks, .... will get resolved. if you want, i could start such a magazine publication project for you guys. yes, i volunteer. it won't be a realworld magazine, but perhaps a magazine to showcase and at the same time test, the features of scribus. will create this under the FDL. and of course, others can contribute. who knows, in doing so, we may end up with new features not even thought about so far, such as collaborative and concurrent design and production of a publication. the final output is always published as a PDF/x3 file and available for downloads. what do you guys say? :-) LL
