Here's were I have all the frameworks: $ ls -l /Library/Frameworks/ total 0 drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 19 Jun 00:48 Fontconfig2.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 18 Jun 19:34 Freetype.framework drwxr-xr-x 9 vox vox 306 16 Jun 23:04 Ghostscript.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 15:56 Qt.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 16:01 libart.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 21:25 libexpat.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 15:59 libjpeg.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 16:00 liblcms.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 15:57 libpng.framework drwxr-xr-x 6 vox vox 204 14 Jun 15:57 libtiff.framework (and some others which don't matter for Scribus) Please check this list for completeness. Also note that this frameworks must NOT be in some subdirectory, but directly in /Library/Frameworks. > > Diddling about in Console is not quite my scene ;-)) which is one > reason why I wanted to try the OS X version rather than have to face > convoluted instructions to instal with X11. Well, this Console output gave me good directions what might be wrong at your side. Scribus/Aqua also looks much nicer than Scribus/X11 on Mac (but it's slower) :-) /Andreas
