I would very much like the ability to import "marked up" files without importing their style. That way I can let authors use any program (with a file format Scribus can import) to edit their documents, and use any formatting they want. And when I import into Scribus the text gets the formatting defined in Scribus. I tried to use HTML for that purpose. First I imported a test file to se the names of the styles Scribus created. I then modified those styles to fit my design. But to my disappointment Scribus did not use them for the next import but created new ones:-( Something like the following options for import: 1. Import text only (treats the imported document as more or less a text file) 2. Import text and styles (but NOT the formatting of the styles, instead map to Scribus styles) 3. Import text and formatting (if I have understodd right, this is the only option available right now?) /Peter
