Can copy and paste to oo.o drawing that's fine. Then export selection as SVG, and import into scribus - all works except scribus messes up the import! I can obviously save the files as something else (tiff etc) and import them - but that isn't going to give the quality I'm looking for in the file size i'm looking for (I have a lot of these tables to insert). In Fedora there is a 'preview' of svg files in 'file manager' - that looks OK. Also I have just installed inkscape and it opens fine in that (only issue is some white text on dark background shows as black on dark - but that could be sorted ny changing the theme.) In scribus the background "colours" are pasted in as the should be but the text is then inserted to the right. Heres links to what I'm explaining: http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.sla - the scribus file. Top table is the table inserted as a tiff (i.e. what I am trying to achieve) http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.pdf - the scribus file printed to pdf http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.tiff - the tiff file http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.svg - the svg graphic http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.sxc - the oo.o spreadsheet http://www.wittongilbert.free-online.co.uk/table.sxd - the oo.o drawing Sorry, I know this is a real cheek - hoping that someone will have the time to look at my files - but I just can't see why this doesn't work? Calum
