My thanks to all who replied... I agree, LuLu is likely the most reasonably priced [pod] printer - and, my Scribus PDF worked well there.
To the replier who commented on the print formats they offer, I wanted to mention - their hardcover is currently limited to 6x9... and... a LuLu "soft cover" isn't like the softcover you'd get at a supermarket, it is a somewhat heavier than interior pages - but I'd call it "light index stock", rather than [paperback]. Their color print quality is excellent - I was just looking for something more "book like" :) On 11/16/05, stu seven <stu7seven at gmail.com> wrote: > This has been a recent topic, and I can only > agree that Scribus produces excellent PDFs > suitable for book printing... but... where does > one find a reasonably priced book printing service ? > > I have seen a service called LuLu, which is > inexpensive... they do not, however, print in > either hardback or paperback format (LuLu uses > more a "magazine" style format). > > Any Scribus authors suggest a reasonably > priced P-rint O-n D-emand printer offering soft > and/or hardback output ? >
