hovergo - this looks just like my initial question several days ago. I think what may have happened with you, as it had with me, is that the newer Scribus had a fully working defaults menu... and... most people who saw this instantly typed in their favorite page dimensions... which, if you look at how this function currently works, has also set this object move dimension to... well... to whatever unit the chosen page dimension uses... in my case, it was an INCH... a huge discrepancy from the nice one PT at a time I had been used to... so... this isnt an error in Scribus... I have suggested a possible solution to Craig where POINT could be hardcoded as the object-move unit, and, users could still select their local page dimensions.
