[Scribus] Inkscape SVGs not working!

I'm sorry, but what is meant by "You should consider joining the mailing list 
directly"?  Not to be a bozo here, but what on earth "the mailing list"?  And 
why would it help for me to join?  And how, for that matter, would I go about 
joining???  Thanks for the help all.  I guess I'll keep using EPS till SVG 
grows up.
