Alex, I have Ubuntu-64 Breezy with Scribus 1.2.2.1. I just did a reload of the packages in Synaptic and that is still the latest release it shows as available. Do I need to add your repositories to the sources list? If so, what is the deb- location? Ir is it that the 1.2.4.1 debian packages are for 32-bit only?
