Hey--another choice is Opera. There is no indication yet that future Operas will not run on Win 9x. A Win 9x user who uses a firewall, up-to-date antivirus, and antispam protection and who uses the Web responsibly is probably not in much danger. I do agree that there is no reason to try to make Scribus compatible with Win 98. Sticking with an obsolete operating system means that a growing number of programs will not be able to run on it. If this is unacceptable, the only course is to upgrade the OS--more sensibly, get a new computer that comes with the OS installed. --Judy Miner Registered Linux User #397786
