it worked! one thing: try a distance of 0.2p
didn't work. the field only accept integers. still it works: this distance (when the paragraph is applied to the first few words) represents how many lines the drop cap will "occupy" below itself. i.e.: 1 will make a drop cap on the next line, 2 will make the first letter occupy the first two lines, and so on... now that is great. thanks a lot.
