Are you *SURE* you saved it as a PSD file? It sounds like you changed the file extension from .eps to .psd, but did not tell Photoshop to actually save as a PSD instead of EPS. Photoshop doesn't care what the file extension is, you need to use the file type pulldown to set what kind of file to save as. -- Craig Ringer
