I take it that you installed the opesSUSE-11.0-DVD image. If it was not added during installation you should use YaST to add the repository: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/ if you are in Europe you may prefer: ftp:mirrorservice.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/ or ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/ Then in YaST/Software Management Filter/Search/Phrase scribus Search/View/Package Versions this should show scribus-1.3.3.12-22.1 which you can install if it is not already there. If you have added the KDE repositories, scribus-1.3.3.12 is also in e.g. ftp://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/Backports/openSUSE_11.0/ Once installed you can reach it from the default SuSE menu in Applications/Office/Word Processor (and I do not understand why it is there either.) -- ray () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail /\ www.asciiribbon.org - against proprietary attachments
