I find it very usable, pretty robust, and acceptable fast, more stable than Pagemake in particular, and significantly more ergonomic than InDesign, though granted there is room for improvement, at least in 1.3.3.x !
I find Scribus useable and works well most of the time however: I'm using 1.3.5 and reckon that Scribus has slowed since moving to Qt4. I still get the dreaded "Scribus crashes due to signal 11" which is a totally meaningless error message to a DTP user trying to get a document out. Well maybe not meaningless, it means, "I lose work, have instant shutdown, then restart Scribus". I was fortunate, in that until I upgraded the linux kernel after installing a new video card, that damn fault was not so prevalent. It is now though. Off subject ----- Has anyone actually set up a Nvidia Geforce 8600GT video card in Linux (fc8) it required a kernel upgrade and then the problems start. Help appreciated Roger
