[scribus] Drop Cap Problem

I am using 1.3.8 with OSX and trying to use drop caps.  I go to edit paragraph
and check drop caps and set up the 4 for the size and 2 for distance from text
and hit apply.  Then I go to properties/text and change to the new style and
what I get is the first line stays in the same position as it was and the next
two lines just indent.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I know I'm doing
some thing dumb!
