I want to know how many different colors can human eye recognize. I guess it is much less than 24bit color space can offer. And how many (especially which) color can be distinguished easily without mistake by most people (and children - if that makes special category). I mean not to be confused if this color is azure, AliceBlue or lavender (names picked from rgb.txt). Maybe somebody can point me to some web article on the web where such matters are described.
If you are wondering why I need it here it is: I want to create some brochure with instruction how to solve MasterMind game where pegs are all different colors. Here I do not need that much colors but the question popped in my mind. Also consider creating sudoku puzzle where colors are used instead of numbers/letters (there are also bigger sudoku than just 9x9). Martin
