Thank you John; however, it is the PDF which is created for printing which contains the too-large margins (by approximately the addition of the printer margins), rather than any effect of the printing of it. The foot margin is plain to see when the pdf is viewd on screen, since it is increased from the Scribus document's 25mm, to about 35mm.
