Over the years I done hundreds of job for typografy&laser - print in Inkscape,
never care about to CMYK into Inkscape, my monitor works with AdobeRGB, when I
finish the work sometimes I re-export my Inkscape generated png with scribus
into pdf, sometimes converted it in tiff with GIMP . The works goes to typo
(not always the same) but never the final colour in finished product was
visible modified from the customer accepted look.?Sorry my english isn't to
good, I hope you understand me.

Inkscape will export a variety of formats and Scribus will import a
variety of formats. That said, what is the best way to move a file
from one to the other? I will be using an ICC profile in Inkscape to
try to maintain CMYK defined colors.

Likely choices are:
Plain SVG
eps
pdf

The workflow will be to lay out a book cover in Inkscape but use
Scribus to do the final save in PDF X/1-a and CMYK.
