i could correctly print the pdf using preview on a mac and targetting some sort of xerox laser. in order to face the urgency of your problem, you may make a copy of your .sla file, open the copy, select the text fields and convert the text to outlines (item > convert to > outlines), produce the pdf and print it. there is no way you get any salad that way :-) for a real solution, there are some specialist in here, who may be able to help you. but they will probably need to know the model of the printer and which drivers your using. and they may have to see your fonts (btw, are you working on linux and printing on windows? have you tried by embedding arial in the pdf? or not embedding it?) hope that helps ciao a.l.e
