I compiled it on Mac OS X without too much trouble. I could post instructions
(and maybe even a nightly if I'm feeling ambitious). However, my Mac OS X
environment looks rather like a Linux environment and I've made so many
additions, renovations and modifications that I can't even remember what they
all are.

Here's the general procedure I followed. I have cmake and Qt Creator Installed.

1.) Check out the source (adapted from Wiki)

svn co svn://scribus.info/svn/Scribus/trunk/Scribus Scribus-SVN

2.) Open up Qt Creator and find the CMakeLists.txt file.

3.) Select the directory for the shadow build.

4.) Run cmake configure (Wizard) with aq flag to where you would like the
binary to install
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/home/<UserName>/Applications/Scribus

5.) Wait for configure to finish. Press the build button (hammer).

6.) Cross fingers, recite psalms, sing hymns, offer sacrifies.

If it works, 7) Press the play button and enjoy the "really unstable" version
of scribus.

Or, you could just download the pre-installed binaries. That's what I do most
of my work in and they've been great.

Cheers,

Rob
