It would be nice if imposition could be done within Scribus. But there are already outside tools to do the job. Yes, it's an extra couple of steps, but to me it's a question of priorities. Scribus needs a lot of other things far more than being able to do imposition. My vote is to put it on the road map for 1.6 or even later. But we are in an open source world. If someone has the coding skills to do it and the desire to do it now, then it may happen sooner. I know if I could do programming I'd be working on real tables, or indexing, or footnoting.
