What does Signal #6 refer to. I am doing my first real job with 1.4.0 RC1 and I've had the system error out with that code twice in the last twenty minutes. I am very unaccustomed to seeing errors with 1.3.9 or 1.3.9, both of which i used for my last issue.
As I have realized that what one was doing when one gets an error may be important, I can say that I was using the in-frame editing feature, had a line highlighted and was attempting to set the font size in the PP when the error occurred. The first time, I was doing in-frame editing and trying to set line-spacing in the PP when the error occurred. The common thing seems to me to be that I was doing in-frame editing. I think I'll return to the Story Editor. Another question: Is there a way to recover what one has done when this error occurs? And please don't say you should have saved more often. That is such a cop out when bad software is the real reason. That is exactly why I use database programs instead of spreadsheets for data table records. Software is NOT supposed to act this way. As a programmer myself, I would find this totally unacceptable operation. -- John Ghormley KJ4UFG Editor, SERA *Repeater Journal* Walkertown, NC 27051 USA editor at sera.org -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
