Based on past experiences with something-to-LaTeX tranformations, I have misgivings about the quality of the results. If it's "easy", you have the utility making all sorts of decisions about how to transform your word processor document into LaTeX. so you have to do a very careful proofreading to make sure you like all the decisions made. The whole point of using either LaTeX or Scribus for a printed book is to have a professional product at the end, not something that's "good enough". If good enough was good enough you might as well just make the PDF directly from Word or OpenOffice.org. Even if the transformation to LaTeX works pretty well, the LaTeX is typically unnecessarily complicated, so that if you do want to edit it, it can be something of a nightmare. So the easy way isn't always so easy (or a good idea). Greg
