as i said, this should probably be a shortcut defined by your window manager. i told you the one which does it on the one of mine (so -- basically -- what you want is indeed possible), but i don't know how and if you can do the same with a mac. (can a mac distinguish between main windows and palettes?) ciao a.l.e
