The original 1 bit TIFF is ~550 KB. The converted 1 bit PNG is ~470 KB. Note that the PNG is actually smaller. When exported from Scribus: PDF size with TIFF: 11 MB. PDF size with PNG: 21 MB. What could be the cause of this massive difference in size?
