For 1.4.x on Linux, the aspell based checker does work "ok". For Windows , you
need to wait for 1.4.2. For OSX you need to wait too or build it yourself via
manual build or mac ports/fink.
Jean put a windows svn snapshot on source forge last week. I might make an OSX
one soon too.
