without more details on the size of the image, the OS you're using the RAM available and so on, it's hard to give you hints. basically, - there is no reason, why breaking up the document in several files should not work (it's not the perfect solution, but it's a workaround that works for most people). - if you're on windows you could try the experimental 64 bit build that will give you access to the full RAM on your computer - if you don't have enough RAM, buy some more. voil?, hope it helps. ciao a.l.e
