Steffan is correct. Scribus will automatically convert any RGB images etc into CMYK, if you choose Export to PDF, Colour tab and pick 'Printer'. In this context 'Printer' means a printing firm not the Epson on your desk. It may be a good idea to set this in your preferences or in a template to Export to PDF with Printer chosen for 4 colour CMYK printing then it will just default to this setting for you on creation of a new Scribus file. If you choose Printer then you also see other different options enabling the use of 'spot colours' etc, which may be useful to you. If you pick 'Screen/Web' on export to PDF this creates a simple RGB PDF, which is fine for digital printing at a Printing firm.
