hi joop > Don't know if it is what you are looking for, but maybe you can use > what pandoc provides?
no, i don't think that pandoc is the right tool for this case. what it could provide, is a conversion to a format that scribus already knows (html, odt). but -- afaik -- those plugins do not work in a way that i can describe as sane. or, at least, i have never managed to get them to work in a way that was sensible to me! on top of it, using pandoc would make scribus depend on pandoc, which is not something i want, either. i got some hints on the #qt irc channel, and tomorrow i'll try to work on a parser based on qlalr. i have uploaded on github the boilerplate for the markdown plugin and created a qlalr branch i will work on: https://github.com/aoloe/scribus-plugin-gettext-markdown/tree/qlalr let's home i can grok it! a.l.e
