It's probably worth some explanatory notes about importing PDFs. This might come about in a situation where you have lost or don't have access to the original Scribus file. Again, using 1.5.0 or later, import a PDF page using File > Import > Get Vector File ... In this initial imported state, you will want to place the grouped vector graphics carefully to match the original. Next, ungroup the imported item (Item > Grouping > Ungroup). Now if you click outside the ungrouped collection of elements, you can click back to individual parts. What you will see with text frames is that the characters are now individual graphics elements. At this point, to edit these, you need to create a new text frame, then delete the vectorized glyphs so that you can bring in text to the new frame and edit as needed. Aside from the work this entails, what I am seeing as I experiment is that this PDF import sometimes causes Scribus to crash, so it remains a rather problematic method. Greg
