[scribus] Scribus won't see my external hdd

Hi [&#X1f60a]

I am an old Windows user firmly moving up in Linux environment. Scribus is my 
passion now [&#X1f60a]

Well, I have a problem. I am working on a Booklet for my non profit 
organization. I decided to use an external hard drive to keep working on this 
project on a different computer. Scribus 1.4.3 won't let me browse to the 
external hdd forcing me to copy everything to the local hdd. How can I make 
Scribus see my external hdd?

I am using Ubuntu 14.04.
