Hi Martin Thanks. I found an Xcode version on the OS X install CD. Not sure if it was even needed. Xcode was not mentioned on the install guidehttp://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Scribus_and_Homebrew_Cask
However, it did not work. I went on after Xcode install (4 GB installation just to install Scribus, a heck of a disproportionate effort, as is the whole procedure) I installed Cask. Then in terminal it asked to install Ruby, which I did: "brew install ruby", then "brew cask install scribus", it went again asking to install Ruby, which I did again and again, "brew cask install scribus" never works. So I am stuck again.
