I was just installing 1.5.3 because I needed a new feature (using Ubuntu 17.04 and the scribus ppa to install the package scribus-ng), and whenever I do something with a picture frame (e.g. just move it or scale the image to the frame) I get the error messages QPixmap::scaled: Pixmap is a null pixmap QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2 QPixmap::scaled: Pixmap is a null pixmap QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted on stderr. regards Hadmut
