Dear List,
we are using the "mail merge tool" Scribus Generator for production. A
few years ago I wrote a fork with one added feature which is of little
interest to others. (My idea to "allow a choice of custom CSV-delimiter"
has made it into the main branch of Scribus Generator, so I hope I am
not at odds with community ethics.)
I believe now is a good moment to update my script for Python3, since I
find a template on the Scribus Generator Github project.
Please do not get angry, but it would help me, if there were SVN builds
out there for Windows 10 64bit.
I am stuck in Germany, far away from my main office and have no access
to any Linux machine (and no spare computers lying around either). But I
can find more time now than otherwise.
If there are no ready builds, I found this page for instructions on the wiki
https://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Building_SVN_versions_on_Windows
but this mentioned file /trunk/Scribus/BUILDING_win32_msvc.txt
looks somewhat outdated to me (no criticism, just an observation)
So never having built on Windows (and only a few times on Linux), and
mainly just wanting to update my script, I am hoping for either a recent
Windows-build, which is ready for testing Python3 scripts, as mentioned
by Jean (see below) or maybe some pointers (or notes) by people who have
some experience with the Windows context for building.
