In my case, it does some hyphenation but it leaves more hyphens to add manualy. When it'd work perfectly, nothing should change when i apply some more conditional hyphen manualy : because it should have been considered automatically and because when not appliable automaticaly, it also shouldnt apply manualy. I managed to reproduce these issues on short texts and created an issue : https://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=16582 Could you please try the uploaded sample file and test how it behaves for you ? (The text is pasted from internet so its spaces typography is not correct but that shouldnt prevent hyphenation.)
