Hi folks, I'm running an old piece of hardware that *really* balked when I installed 1.5.5 and 1.5.6 alike, so I want to return to 1.4 in order to lay out a novel.
My problem is that I am far from skilled at compiling software. Would anyone be able to point me to instructions for installing via the command line - one that *won't* end up giving me another copy of 1.5.x?
