Chip, One more point about using VS 2008.My project that I created in VS 2008 would take about 1.5 to 2 hours to download allot of pages and update some databases. I tweaked the code and more important ReCreated it to run against 8 logical cores and it now takes between 5 and say 7 minutes to run. You can not do this without some heavy software engineering in VS 2008 if at all. To develop modern programs you need the modern features that were put in place starting with VS 2010, 2012 and most recently 2015. The 2013 Community Edition is a really nice platform with modern tools but 2008 is not geared for the .net 4.0 framework which is required for Windows 8 and beyond. In other words, it is seriously outdated and even if you can find it you will be using almost decade old technicals dataing back to the .net 2.0 framework and Visual Studio 2005 model (2008 was just an extension of the .net 2.0 framework upt to 4.0 which is a major break from this platform). If I could have stuck with VS 2008 I would have but WindowEyes 8.4 worked as well in the VS 2013 version as it did in the VS 2008 version until I installed the WE 9.1 upgrade and now it is not working well at all.
