Hi: My first test did not work. I dug deeper into the WEEvent output and see they are doing something with the caret as well as focus both on and off screen. There are so many things going on that it is hard to figure out what is impacting things. I ran a test where the Error List, think it is the problem but not even sure anymore, came up at the wrong time. There was also something to do with a caret setting. In any case arrowing up or down read nothing in window eyes and I see the KeyDown event firing in WEEvent but absolutely no MSAA or Window events firing as a result of moving the arrow up and down wherever focus or caret is locked into. I will setup some mouse based analysis prints to try and determine where the dead spot is and if there are any items associated with it. Perhaps this way I can determine if it is the Error List grabbing focus or if it is something else on or off screen. My question for now is what is the diference between focus and caret and if the caret is incorrect could that cause WE not to read and appear to be locked up and no MSAA or Window Events to fire?
