Yes, I will certainly look into this Rod, as yes Rick, I use the GW toolkit
object in several of my apps which have to install activeX controls (where
the installation is different based on 32 or 64 bit systems).

Hi Rod: Do you know if that 64 bit script tool is used by other WindowEyes
scripts?
I wonder if it has any impact on the 20 plus scripts I run as standard
scripts.
I would guess if they use it then there is a potential for some
unpredictable results in their scripts.
By the way, another excellent pickup and fix.

Hi guys,

Thanks to Bruce, I'm forwarding this post to the list again since the URL I
provided below got split up.

Thanks,

Rod

Subject: Identifying 64-bit system

Hi guys,

One thing I noticed is that the current version of the GW Toolkit shared
object called Is64bitOS doesn't seem to properly detect that my Dell Windows
7 x64 Home Premium system is indeed 64-bit.
I've tested this with Window-Eyes 8.4, as well as version 9.1 on the same
Dell system, in the latter case, running in a virtual machine.
I googled and found the following MS Technet page where it had the vbScript
code as well as a download link for a script which does the job very well,
since it accurately reports my system as 64-bit:

https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Determine-If-Your-System-
969670e3

I was wondering if anyone has also noticed this failure in the performance
of the current version of the GW Toolkit shared Object called Is64bitOS, or
whether this is specific to my system.
Also, I would be interested to know if anyone has any other ideas on this
issue.

Thanks,

Rod
