Hi all,
Remind_Me_Where is a new Window-Eyes app which provides access to Google+ Places and directions (walking, driving, or using the transit system!), allowing you to make use of your current location or to specify locations from your database of points, or a street address, or a GPS receiver, or an IP address. The directions for use of public transit are frankly amazing (provided your city places their transit info on Google). Allows you to search for Google places by name, by type, by general location, (starting from your current position or one you enter), and to then see their Google+ or business web page, as well as their address and location. You can also add a new Google+ Place, which can then be seen by others. Additional capabilities are available for those with an attached GPS receiver, and future capabilities are in the works for those who are a mobile user. All of this is accomplished with the convenient and easy-to-use interface of a Window-Eyes app, no web browser is necessary (although the app is fully integrated with many browser links possible for those who wish to go further in exploration). I do plan an audio tutorial soon, as it's truly difficult to explain how much is possible, and how easy exploring your environment can be with the data from Google+ Places and Google Maps. I owe a big debt of thanks to those who have been beta testing the earlier versions. Frankly, even now work is left to be done, and I hope those who think of improvements, or who find issues, will let me know. Enjoy, Chip Orange acora...@comcast.net -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
