Hi Dave: Chip is a heavy weight at WindowEyes scripting in vbScript and
especially for MS Word.
His development platform should provide you a nice way to build your
scripts.
That said, vbScript has limitations and developing in the WindowEyes model
wont let you work directly with the events and methods of the UIA API
without jumping through some hoops if it can be done at all as far as I
know.
But if you want to learn scripting the WindowEyes Object Model is not a bad
place to start.
It gives you access to many features and tools for analyzing and coding up
some accessibility solutions in a pretty simple to learn environment.
If you want to go pro then I think I would look elsewhere but we are talking
about some extensive and heavy learning curves just to get started and it
wouldn't hurt to have a University background in Programming and perhaps 3
to 5 years experience in the field if going that route.
