Hi Rick,

Thanks, I spent most of my time getting it uploaded, for Amazon was
changing it's web site. But making it
portable and still use Windoweyes frees up a lot of hassles...
If someone were to place it in a folder other than Program Files would
also have to edit there short cuts to accommodate the new path. Just a hint
just in case they wish to move it, for the path must point to the Sea Battle
folder....
This enhanced feature uses windows version of a .ini file but Windoweyes
can still read it even though it shows up a little different.

Yes, I am going to also get out the Star Trek game since tomorrow is the
big release of Star Wars.

The game I will have will be called simply, "Star Battle For The
Visually Impaired"

This version will be like the Sea Battle but will have more display for
sighted people. No videos, no moving objects, but displays the short range
and long range sensors. To do that the Page keys pressed while holding down
the control key displays the same scans...without it the Windoweyes or SAPI
says the scans...
There are several other commands like Galaxy Map and Klingon Status and
such that also can be displayed.

Of course Windoweyes can look at the displayed scan with the mouse. When
displayed Windoweyes will miss a lot of the words, so display must use the
Mouse to read the scan using Windoweyes...if the display option was
selected.

There is an auto command which allows the computer to fire without
manual input. I am going to modify this by making all the attack real time
under this option so it will have lots of action without delays. I use
delays to allow speech to show what is going on.

So, it is coming soon and at least ready by January and that will allow
Canada to have it the same time the United States has it...all at once!

So enjoy what I have done and more to come for the science to do this is
perfect and ready to go for any game.

I guess, those who like board games and such, maybe everyone can give me
input to what they may want.
Monopoly, and Risk, or any other game that requires movement and/or card
reading...

Thanks for the feed back Rick.

        Sincerely
        Bruce

Subject: The Sea Battle Game Enhanced Is For Sale

Hi!

For Christmas those who have downloaded Sea battle and no people who
would like to play it is now for sale on Amazon. Not available in Canada
until January according to Amazon.

It is called:
"Sea Battle For The Visually Impaired Enhanced"
The purchased form of Sea battle has the Jukebox as well to play the MP3
music and the choices of any background sounds or music you wish to listen
to while playing the game.

This enhanced version of the game corrects against errors if searching
for files on a CD drive or USB port that is not available and will tell you
without shutting down.
Besides that feature which only stores address paths for the file the
enhanced version allows you to copy/cut and paste files to the respective
folder you want the music/sound to be listed in. In other words you can
paste files into the background folder or the Jukebox play list folder, or
both if you so desire.

When going into the background play list all added files will be listed
immediately but in the Jukebox play list those added files only show up if
you press the F9 key after entering the Jukebox play list.
Not listing them immediately inside the Jukebox prevents problems arising if
you want to edit the play list before adding new and disturbing any list
presently playing.

Also, added to this is the display of all moves inside the game or in
any section of the Sea Battle/Jukebox you may be in. All display is done in
the Title Bar and it will display which player is playing, what square, or
ocean section there on. It also displays the presently selected music file
or any hotkey function that gets pressed.

This does allow sighted users to play the game while getting use to
voices. Besides the ability to get feed back of what you have just done. For
if a player is playing they can read the Title Bar to know what was
presently spoken...

So, the game is on Amazon now with the ability to add more SAPI voices
if you need to and still uses Windoweyes as the reader/voice unless you
select SAPI.
It is also installed in your Program Files folder instead of in your
Windoweyes default folder. This will allow easier access to you music files
and have your game portable by just copying that folder onto all of your
computers and moving copies of your Shortcut files for that folder either by
CD or your network from your desktop...

So just go to Amazon and search either by typing: "Sea Battle For The
Sightless" or "Sea Battle For The Visually Impaired Enhanced" then press
enter.
Then it will be the first option to click on after the search is done.

        Sincerely
        Bruce
