Hi Chip, This is meant for Jeff Weiss, Here's a snipit from the manual about perhaps the better object to query for the desired information.
Hth, Rod Navigation: The Window-Eyes Object Model > Objects > Settings2 Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page Definition An object containing information about different types of Window-Eyes set files. Usage Use a Settings2 object to obtain a specific type of Window-Eyes set file. A Settings2 object can be obtained from a Window object's Settings2 property. Jeff, It's not clear to me from the documentation whether this is reloading the factory sets on top of your customized sets, or just reloading your customized sets into memory as you want. You may want to write to support and ask them, but I am guessing it's reloading the factory sets, and that's why you're apparently losing any customizations. Hi everyone, I'm forwarding a post from the talk list since the poster had difficulty posting here. Thanks, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+rod_hutton=hotmail....@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Jeff Weiss via Talk Sent: January 23, 2016 12:03 PM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List <t...@lists.window-eyes.com> Subject: scripting list not working? I sent this message to the scripting list yesterday, and apparently the scripting list is not working? Anybody know what’s up? the message follows: One of my apps “RefreshSets” uses ReFreshSets() to reload all of the currently loaded setfiles. Somewhere along the version changes of Window=-Eyes, the way this command works has changed. Many of the global settings which I have selected are changed back to the initial Window-eyes settings, such as: speech rate 30 keyboard speak space yes verbosity speak shortcuts yes verbosity speak menu shortcuts yes indicate changes in color, size, etc. yes indicate MSAA on/off with tones only ... and there are probably many more settings that are affected by the new “RefreshSets()”. Is this the intended behavior? if you use this command, the user loses many of his customized settings. I need a way to refresh the setfiles—that keeps currently saved settings. Ideas and suggestions appreciated. thanks Jeff Weiss _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
