I am trying to develop an app, where certain settings in WE will be preferable. I want to make an App-specific setfile, that can ship along with the package, and have it automatically loaded whenever the app is activated.
OK, so the app will only be activated when the user hit a hotkey. And hence, once it opens, I want the setfile "MyApp.set" to be loaded. Yet, if the user now Alt-Tab away from the app window, say to notepad, of course the setfile for the target application should be active - just like normal. My set file, should only be active whenever my app window is focused. Is all of this possible? Any pitfalls to be looked out for? And most importantly, how will my app load a setfile. Thing is, my app window of course have a name, and I guess I could do some kind of association between the window name, and my setfile. Yet, will such association stick when installed on another computer? Doubtfully. :) So to make sure the user will always be operating with optimal settings, I wanted the dedicated set file to be automatically attached to the app operation. Thanks for any feedback, and advice. -- David _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
