.roobj are pre-compiled room; for the box editor you need a .box file
and a .bmp. For example in openquest:
boxedit -img graphics/rooms/back01_merged.bmp graphics/rooms/back01.box

This is probably a bug in the Gtk theme you are using, nothing to worry
about I think.
