Hello Manuel
I work on Ubuntu Dapper (Gnome)
If you work with SDCC and you only use Pikdev to programm the pic you
can only use pkp a part of Pikdev without KDE install.
Read in http://pikdev.free.fr/ on the left : Installation, you can read
at the end : Installation of pkp
Don't forget you must put : ppdev in etc/modules

If you want a board to program you can find one in Kicad (GPL PCB)
If you install kicad in usr/local, you can find the board in demos
/usr/local/kicad/demos/pic_programmer

If you have any difficulties with pkp or kicad send me a mail (in
french, spanish, at least english) [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bye,
Pierre
