Hi Gert, And that is all it does, describe how the lcd controller is working. The pcf8576 datasheet explains all the rest you (I) need to know :-) The thing is, why I asked for an um for the lpc9408, is that for instance the hex address of the keypad pattern register is missing from the table on page 13. And I have not looked at the ADC in detail yet but I had some doubts about the extended registers for it and wanted to check that against the specific um of the lpc9408. Yes, I know it is the lpc938 processor but I still wanted to check. I hope my intensions are clear now :-) roelof ps.
